4-15-21   THOUGHTS

We think this morning of God as our ROCK and our SUPPLIER, our SUSTAINER.  David’s life included war and battle.  By it, he survived.  I need this theme continually.
Ps 16:8    I have set the LORD continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.  9  Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will dwell securely.
Ps 18:28-36    For You light my lamp; The LORD my God illumines my darkness. 29  For by You I can run upon a troop; And by my God I can leap over a wall. 30  As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the LORD is tried; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. 31  For who is God, but the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God, 32  The God who girds me with strength And makes my way blameless? 33  He makes my feet like hinds’ feet, And sets me upon my high places. 34  He trains my hands for battle, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. 35  You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, And Your right hand upholds me; And Your gentleness makes me great. 36  You enlarge my steps under me, And my feet have not slipped.
Ps 18:46  The LORD lives, and blessed be my rock; And exalted be the God of my salvation,
Ps 31:3   For You are my rock and my fortress; For Your name’s sake You will lead me and guide me.
Ps 37:7    Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him;   Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.
Ps 61:2    From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.      [I can hear the old song in my heart]

How blessed we are to know and live in the above!  I am not the measure of my existence.
God is!
Ps 95:1    O come, let us sing for joy to the LORD,  Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.

My Prayer:
O God, thank you for putting light into our lives. Thank you for Christ Jesus.  We praise you as the end of all things, our eternal rock.  When we see our weakness and nothingness, you are there.  Help us to lean on you and wait for your presence.  May our prayers be alive Father and our hearts ever seeking you.  Be continually before us O God.
We pray in the name of Jesus who saves us.   Amen
